Installation
- Remove the ignition keys from your Ford Explorer
- Engage the parking brake
- Turn off the headlight control switch
- Pull the lever up (under the instrument panel)
- Release the secondary hood latch (then raise the hood)
- Pry up the retaining pins behind the headlight assembly
- Pull out the assembly
- Push the center tab on the connector, then pull down (disconnect the electrical connector)
- Locate the burn-out or the lousy light bulb
- Turn it counterclockwise (only stop after it unlocks)
- Pull the bulb straight out of the bulb assembly
- Align the plastic grooves with the tabs in the light bulb assembly
- Push the grooves straight in (Ensure it installs the new bulb)
- Turn the bulb clockwise (Lock it into place)
- Install back the electronic connector and the headlight assembly (use reverse order)
- Test that your new headlight bulbs are working
