The Nissan Armada is a full-size SUV manufactured by Nissan for the North American market. From 2003 to 2015, the first-generation Armada was assembled in Canton, Mississippi based on the Nissan Titan. From mid-2016 onwards, the second-generation Armada has been built in Yukuhashi, Kyushu, Japan and shares the same platform as the Nissan Patrol, with American-specific modifications, and went on sale in late mid-2016 as a 2017 model.

Nissan unveiled the current generation Armada at the 2016 New York International Auto Show. It is set to go on sale in late 2016 as a 2017 model. The second-generation Nissan Armada will continue production and sales of the first generation at Canton, Mississippi, United States (US).

The second-generation Armada shares its updated design with Nissan Patrol introduced in 2015. Some modifications have been done for the US market such as exterior color choices are now added with two new choices: Pearl White Tricoat and Midnight Pine (exclusive) which replaces Glacier Pearl. Also, the front fascia has a slightly revised grille pattern. The interior color scheme includes additional color choice Bellanova White pearl which replaces Java Metallic inside the cabin.

    Modern Headlight Types

Though headlights take on a variety of different shapes and styles, there are three main types of headlights you’ll find in most modern vehicles. These are the reflector headlights, projector headlights, and LED headlights.

    Reflector Headlights

Reflector headlights have been around for a long time. They consist of an upper and lower bulb that projects light in a specific direction via a piece called a reflector. The bulbs in reflectors pull double duty because they also serve as turn signals. The outside edge or “corner” of the vehicle has a built-in amber-colored light when you blink your turn signal which illuminates when someone is using their blinker behind you. It’s important to note that if you decide to add aftermarket side mirrors these corner lights will be disabled since they’ll shine directly into the reflective surfaces of the new mirrors. In addition, if you add a projector headlight system the corner lights will also become disabled.

Reflector headlights offer great visibility on dark roads because they maximize light output in specific directions. However, since the light is only emitted forward some of your light does not reach the sides or rear of your vehicle which can create problems when driving at night or on unlighted back roads. Reflectors are also unable to produce more than one focal point for optimal lighting so you’ll find that reflector headlights cannot provide adequate illumination directly in front of and behind your car, though drivers rarely complain about this since their distance vision is still very good with these types of lights. The design of reflectors has improved over the years with better materials used to coat lenses which creates a crisp, clean beam of light.

    Projector Headlights

Projector headlights are considered the next step up in headlight technology because they offer better lighting performance than reflectors by using a specially-shaped lens to project light forward. Another benefit is that projector headlights are capable of creating multiple focal points for better visibility when driving at night or on dark roads during inclement weather conditions. Some manufacturers also claim that these types of lights provide safer nighttime driving because there’s less chance for the glare in other drivers’ eyes since the beams are kept in more narrow confines. It should be mentioned though that some state laws prohibit this feature due to safety concerns, so it may not be possible in your area even if you have projector headlights. With regard to cost, projector headlights are slightly more expensive than reflectors but they require less service since the sealed beams don’t need replacing. However, if one of your projector or reflector bulbs burns out you’ll have to replace all of them because the housing is fixed in place with both types of headlights.

    LED Headlights

The latest form of headlight technology is LED headlights; they’re often referred to as ‘Next Gen’ headlamps by automakers and suppliers. The reason for this is their ability to focus bright white light on dark roads without causing glare in the eyes of other drivers at night like many standard headlights to do when used during inclement weather conditions. That said, there are still some state laws regarding the width of LED headlights which may require technology to be developed further before it’s possible to have proper visibility on both sides of a vehicle at night. LED lighting is also a large part of autonomous driving technology and will play a major role in how cars that don’t need an actual driver to operate one day.

    The Latest Headlight Technology

In terms of performance, LED headlights are very bright and offer high-definition illumination for better visibility during dark nights or inclement weather conditions. The latest generation produces light without using traditional halogen bulbs which can burn out over time, but they do use much more power than reflectors or projectors so you’ll likely see your vehicles electrical system adversely affected if you install these types of headlights if you’ve never upgraded your car’s electrical system before.
