First generation (2010–2012 )
Today we’re going to be doing is replacing the headlight bulbs on this late-model Ford Fusion which requires the front bumper to come off so what we’re going to demonstrate today is how to remove that front bumper with the active grille technology so what we’re going to start today’s project is from underneath the vehicle by removing the front lower splash shield and lower fender liner hardware as needed so now we’ve got the lower splash shield removed and lower fender liner hardware
we can lower the car down a little bit to get the upper fender line or hardware and what we’re trying to get is a little clip that’s here behind the fender liner so we’ll need to pull it back just slightly to get access to this clip so now with the inner fender liner pulled back slightly you can see this clip right here we need to pull out in order to pull the bumper sleeve back now that we have that clip removed we can go ahead and grab a hold the bumper cell and pop it right out on both sides we have a little bit of play in the bumper now so we can pull it forward go back
