The 2018 BMW X5 uses different headlight bulb configurations depending on the factory headlight system. Models with HID headlights use a D1S bulb for both the low beam and high beam. Models equipped with LED headlights use LED lighting for both functions. The fitment data also lists LED for the high- and low-beam positions generally, so confirm whether the vehicle has HID or LED headlamps before ordering.
The front fog lights, daytime running lights, parking lights, and front turn signals are also configuration-dependent: front turn signals use a 5200 bulb with HID headlights and LED with LED headlights, while the fog lights are LED. Most other exterior lighting is LED, including the reverse, brake, center stop, tail, rear turn signal, rear side marker, and license plate lights.
Interior lighting is predominantly LED. The trunk light is listed with either 2825 or 98, so inspect the existing fitting or verify the vehicle configuration before replacement.
