2012 BMW M3 bulb size chart

Catalog bulb positions and codes for the 2012 BMW M3. Confirm against your owner’s manual before buying.

Fitment notes

For the 2012 BMW M3, both the low-beam and high-beam headlights use D1S bulbs. Check the existing headlight bulb and connector before ordering, especially if replacing an HID system.

Fog light fitment is listed as either H11 LED or H16 LED, so compare the original bulb and housing before purchase. The reverse lights use 921 bulbs. Brake light fitment depends on the vehicle’s adaptive lighting configuration: models with adaptive lighting use 64136, while models without adaptive lighting use an LED assembly.

Several exterior lamps are LED, including the center stop light, license plate light, parking lights, tail lights, and rear turn signals. Cornering lights may use H3 or H3C. Interior fitment includes 2886X for the dome and map lights, 6418 for the glove-box light, and 6411 or 6428 for the trunk and vanity lights. Courtesy and step lights have multiple listed options, so compare them with the original bulbs.
