If you are one of the owners that are looking to replace the bulbs on your RDX, then this article and the chart will help you find the right bulb sizes and how to make a replacement.

Is there a reason for replacing the bulbs on an Acura RDX?

Even though the newer models may have LED headlights, the rest of the bulbs will probably be HID. Owners that want to unify the look of all the light bulbs on their cars is a good enough reason to want to replace them.

Also, even If your car has been only several years old, you may encounter a situation where some of the bulbs may burn out and stop working. Non-functional lights, especially exterior ones, can be dangerous and may even get you in trouble with the law. To ensure that you avoid situations like that one, replacing the busted ones with LEDs is an excellent reason. They are just brighter, crisper, and last longer.

The most common used bulbs to change are the following: fog, reverse, brake, back-up, license plate lights. It’s important to use LEDs with same wattage as the ones you have originally. If not sure about their power save time by downloading apps for your phone that may help you know what kind of LED bulb matches them in case you can’t find it anywhere.

Another reason why people go for this upgrade is because they need more light in specific areas where using LEDs to provide much better illumination than the factory bulbs in some cases because depending on the color temperature chosen could range from having a blue tone or white or yellow one which provides enormous brightness gains at night time due to their high lumen capacity. Also, the brighter the light is in this case, the better visibility you will have at night time which could help you with street signs and pedestrians crossing the road. This upgrade provides improved lighting when turning on your headlights which makes it much safer to drive when it’s dark since they allow a bigger view of what’s in front and around so that there are no accidents in dangerous situations like rain or fog where vision is limited.

The yellowish color is due to low color temperature

Some people might not know this, but LEDs also come in different shapes and sizes which is something you should definitely consider if you’re looking to buy some. You can get them in the most common round shape or square type, but you can even find some that give out an L shape. This feature is especially useful if you need more light on specific areas like license plate lights which might be blocked with non-recessed LEDs. It also comes in several sizes which may require assembling and not just straight to replace your old ones, but it’s something you should really consider since the installation process could be much easier for this reason alone.

LEDs come in various shapes and sizes depending on their application

Getting LED Bulbs can seem like a complex task, but there are still some simple steps you can follow to ensure that you get exactly what you’re looking for. The first step is to determine exactly what kind of vehicle you have. This step is really important because it will help you account for any compatibility issues that might arise when trying to use LED bulbs with your vehicle’s electrical system. Once you know the make, model, and year of your car, finding compatible LED bulbs should be simple.

Some cars need further modification before installing LEDs in order for them to work properly

The next step after determining the right size is getting the color temperature which could range from 6000K (neutral white) all the way up to pure blue or purple (12000K). I would suggest getting at least 10,000K LEDs because they provide much better illumination compared to other lower-temperature ones. The last thing about this upgrade that needs attention is making sure your car’s electrical system can handle the extra load that comes with installing LED bulbs. If it can’t, you might need to do some further modifications in order for them to work properly, so make sure you consult a professional if you’re not too sure about what needs to be done.

Some cars might need further modification before installing LEDs in order for them to work properly

In conclusion, LED headlights are definitely something you should consider if you want better visibility at night time or improved lighting in specific areas. The installation process is simple and most of the time the bulbs come in different shapes and sizes to meet your needs. Just make sure that your car’s electrical system can handle the extra load before making the purchase!

What do you get with replacing the stock bulbs with LEDs?

LEDs have many advantages over traditional halogen or HID bulbs.

Owners that do a lot of driving at night will like this one. LED bulbs can shine a lot brighter than the other types of bulbs meaning that replacing your headlight bulbs with LEDs will improve your visibility.

People often think that lights that shine bright do not last long, but it is the exact opposite when it comes to LED bulbs. The technology behind them enables them to last much longer than the halogen or HID bulbs. Comparing both sides, you are looking at bulbs that can work at least five times longer than the outdated ones.

How to replace a headlight bulb on an Acura RDX?

The procedure is similar to most modern Acura models. You should begin the process by disconnecting the power cables from the car’s battery.

On the back of the headlight assembly, you will find a circular plastic cover that you will need to unscrew. Below the cover is the connector going to the back of the bulb. Unplug it and proceed with unhooking the metal pin holding the bulb. Replace the bulb by inserting the new one in the same orientation as the one you pulled out.

Do the RDX and MDX have the same headlights?

No. both models have different headlight designs and with that different bulb sizes.

Which bulbs can be replaced on the headlights on an RDX?

The RDX’s headlight contains the high and low beam bulbs, as well as the turn signal.
